![]() | DREAM610 [3/14/2008 6:02:27 AM] : You must trust your gut feelings, check their references, and look at the quality of work they present to you. Be openminded and willing to try new things, but hold onto any moral or standards that you have set up in yourself. I know that I meet every model before a shoot, to get a feeling of what a model is looking for, and the model understands I am serious....it is a big gamble of trust, and commuinication between both parties involved in the photo shoot. |
![]() | AMBER ROBERTS [3/14/2008 12:29:55 AM] : Ask for references talk to other models the photographer has worked with, meet with the photographer in public to talk and see what happens go over the photographers portfolio oh just to be safe ALWAYS take someone with you, if the photographer says he/she does not allow that then MOVE ON. |
![]() | DRAYTON [3/3/2008 3:03:07 PM] : Hi! my name is rita and when i'm looking for a photographer I do to the phone book or call the BBB FOR BACKGROUNG INFO. |
![]() | SARAH [2/25/2008 3:50:52 PM] : always be very skeptical. ask for references. actually talk to models they've worked with. if it is a company, look through the better business bureau. And most importantly, ALWAYS bring someone with you. even if you have worked with them before. It only takes 1 time. And if they are hesitant to let you bring a person DO NOT go! Also, if you arrive and they seem uncomfortable a person is there with you or you don't get a good vibe, leave right away. Walk away. Trust me. Always protect yourself. There is nothing wrong with walking away or saying no. but remember, ALWAYS bring someone! :) Good luck! |
![]() | JIM KARR [2/24/2008 1:31:17 AM] : Ask for references from other models, phone numbers if at all possible. Models I've worked with in the past usually have no problem with e-mails, although some are a little more worried about giving out their phone number to other models because they don't know if a model is really a model or someone pretending to be one (yes, there are sick people out there that do that too.) ![]() | NIKKI LOVE [2/10/2008 6:50:35 PM] : hi perry, i am always looking to build my portfolio. take a look at my pics and let me know what you think thanks and stay blessed nikki |
![]() | DAVE THE ROLLEI GUY [2/8/2008 9:21:02 PM] : First speak to the photographer on the phone and see how you feel from such a conversation. When you come for the first session, bring someone with you. Be sure others know where you are. Have a cell phone with you when you go to the shoot. If you look up fashion modeling on the internet you will find several sites with information on safeguarding yourself. Take all these warnings to heart. Most of the photographers are serious business people, but as in any field there is a chance of a rotten apple. |
![]() | AMBER ROBERTS [2/6/2008 8:32:17 PM] : Do a background check on the photographer sweety, make sure he/she is the real thing and to see if he has had any problems in the past. Ask the photographer for references, if his work dosnt look professional then he's probably amature. Talk to other models who have worked with this photographer. |
